ISOBM 2010 Awards
The Abbott Award
The Abbott Award will be given to anyone in the international scientific or medical community, not necessarily a Society member, who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of basic or clinical oncology.
The Abbott Awardee 2010 will be announced in the final program of the ISOBM meeting 2010 and will give a plenary lecture during this meeting.
The winner of the Abbott Award 2010 is Rolf Lamerz and was announced at the ISOBM meeting in München.
Fellows and Junior Faculty: Merit Awards
The ISOBM offers 5 Merit Awards of each 1000 Euro to students and young scientists ( ≤ 35 years) who submit high-quality abstracts. The Merit Award will be bestowed to the awardees at our Banquet Dinner on September 7th.
Merit Award candidates must apply for this award at the time of abstract submission.
The First Author must meet all of the following requirements to be considered for a Merit Award:
- Work in an oncology laboratory or clinical research setting
- Agree to present the abstract at the ISOBM Meeting and to present the abstract as well as the corresponding poster at the ISOBM website
- Provide a two-page curriculum vitae including date of birth during registration process (upload)
