TransportThe Munich rapid train network (“S-Bahn”) is marked in Munich by a green “ S ”. The Munich subway network (“U-Bahn”) is marked by a blue “ U ”. Best starting point to all destinations is the S- and U- Station “Marienplatz” at Munich's Centre.A congress ticket will be included in the congress bag and can be used for the inner district of München during the congress days. Other tickets can be purchased at the ticket machines. Be sure to stamp them before boarding the train. | ||
From the City to Klinikum GroßhadernFrom Munich Central Station (“Hauptbahnhof”): Take the U-Bahn U1 (green line) or U2 (red line) to “Sendlinger Tor” and change there to U6 (blue line) toward the station “Klinikum Großhadern”. Leave the train at “Klinikum Großhadern” and follow the signs to Klinikum Großhadern. Proceed to the main entrance of the Hospital and when inside use the escalators on the left side. This escalator brings you to the second floor called “Besucherstrasse”. From here, go straight ahead to the end of the hallway and turn right for the Lecture Halls (“Hörsäle”). Several signs will help you to find the way to the Lecture Halls. Please note that you need at least 10 minutes walk from the station to the lecture halls. From Munich “Marienplatz”: There is a direct connection with U6 (blue line) from “Marienplatz” to “Klinikum Großhadern”. The subway will need 16 min and goes every 10 minutes. At “Klinikum Großhadern” please follow the directions as indicated above. | ||

Slide CentreThe Slide Centre is located in Hall I in the ground floor, close to the cloakroom and will be opened 60 min before the first lecture. If you have your lecture in one of the first sessions in the morning please hand over your presentation the day before. | ||
Industrial ExhibitionThe exhibition area will be at both floors of the congress in front of the lecture halls. All coffee breaks and poster sessions will be located in these areas. Download here the exhibition plan. | ||
LunchesDuring the 3 full congress days lunches will be provided by the sponsors organizing a “Lunch Symposium”. Saturday, 4 th September: Fujirebio Diagnostics On Monday, 6 th September lunch boxes will be provided in the beginning of the excursion by the congress organizers. On Wednesday, 8 th September a farewell lunch will be provided by the congress organizers. | ||
Coffee BreakCoffee breaks are included in the registration fees and will be available in the exhibition area at both floors. Coffee breaks will last 15 -20 min and will take place in regularly frequencies. | ||
Abbott AwardThis award has been made possible by generous gift from Abbott Laboratories and is given annually to a scientist who has performed noteworthy research in the field of tumor biology diagnostics or therapy. This year's awardee will give a lecture on Monday, 6 th September from 12:00 am to 01:00 pm and will be presented with the prize. | ||
Merit AwardsThe Merit Award Committee will elect 5 winners among the young scientists who applied for the award. These awards are donated by the ISOBM and will be announced and honoured at the Banquet Dinner on Tuesday, 7 th September. | ||
