As you will know, the International Society of Oncology and BioMarkers (ISOBM) is one of the oldest and most distinguished communities of oncological and immunological researchers. The society was founded by the discoverers of Alpha Fetoprotein (AFP) and Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) almost 40 years ago. The intense research and exchange of knowledge about any aspects of oncological biomarkers in basic as well as clinical science can be described as a kind of keystone of our society. The translation of this research into clinical practice in diagnosis and treatment of cancer disease is based upon intense scientific collaboration with interested and engaged corporate partners.
